Dear Ruti,

My Bat Mitzvah was one of the most important times in my life. In preparation for such an event, I needed to work hard and put in a great deal of time and effort. I could never have accomplished any of this without you. Even though at one point I may have been behind, you always lifted my spirit and made sure that I caught up again. The effort that you put in to help me prepare for my bat mitzvah is something that I will never be able to thank you for. My aunt told me before the service that if I was nervous, I should find someone in the congregation who was smiling at me to make me feel better. After every aliyah when I looked up and saw you smiling up at me, I was re-charged and I was totally confident and ready to read the next Aliyah as best I could. Ruti, you were my inspiration. I did so well because of you. Thank you so much. The poem that you gave me was magnificent. The lesson it teaches, you have to believe in yourself to reach your goals, is something that I learned from you during our sessions together. Ruti you are my inspiration and a true friend.
